Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses practical, modern, and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive and long lasting changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time.
This type of hypnotherapy focuses on the present and future and not on the past. I would ask you to consider your preferred future, for instance what would be better if the problem had improved? What would have changed? This type of question allows possible solutions to become more obvious and gives you a goal to work towards.
With Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, I look at what you want to achieve rather than at what prompted you to contact me.
Hypnosis itself reduces anxiety, and this is done very simply through relaxation and visualisation, allowing you to focus on the positive aspects of their life that encouraging a shift in perspective.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help with confidence and self-esteem problems. It can also help (if necessary in conjunction with medication) in the treatment of depression and anxiety and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Initial Consultation – An Initial Consultation is required before the beginning of any hypnotherapy series. At the consultation we will discuss what it is you would like to work on, we will then talk about hypnotherapy, how it works and how it can make a huge difference to your life. The initial consultation helps us to get to know each other and see if hypnotherapy is right for you.
Hypnotherapy sessions – are individual and tailored to your needs and begin by reviewing how things have been since our last session, focusing on the positive aspects. This is followed by a blend of Solution Focused questions and psychotherapy techniques that promote positive responses and changes. This is an important part of the session where you work the hardest, it then leads into a relaxing hypnosis session which consolidates the therapeutic work.
